I’m pretty sure that you’ll never forget the day when you said your wedding vows and committed yourself to the love of your beloved. Whether you celebrate annually or not, the various wedding anniversaries have their own symbolism, as you can guess from their popular names. Just like the second wedding anniversary, also known as the cotton wedding.
The popular wedding symbolic themes are an amazing choice if you wonder what to give to your beloved, your parents or your closest friends. Because over the time, a couple’s relationship becomes stronger and healthier. Thus the anniversaries symbols are changing from more unstable to more stable.

The name “garnet” comes from the Latin word “Garanatus,” meaning “seedlike,” in reference to a pomegranate. It is believed that Garnet gemstone helps a couple explore the sensuality and helps fidelity. Also inspires commitment, monogamous and stable marriage, as promises love & devotion. Another option is the Rose Quartz, the stone of the heart.
- The 2nd Anniversary flowers are Cosmos (to illustrate one’s deepest feelings of love) and Lily of the Valley (also known as the May Lily that means “return to happiness”)
